Yes, they have vegetarian options! Check out the veggie soondubu.
If you are just gluten sensitive (but not celiac), there are some dishes that are possibly GF/low-in-gluten.. Like the rice cakes, japchae, rice, meat and veggies. I didn't check if their soy sauce is GF or not. We did not have any bad reactions when we went.
No, they don't have patbingsu menu at the moment in 2018.
Food was delicious. But the bowl was too hot and the rice burned in the bottom of the bowl. I would suggest to provide an alternative to customers to ask if they would like to have their bowl heated or not heated.
Great place for lunch: quick, relatively cheap, and tasty. Recently went with a colleague for a quick bite. I enjoyed my big bowl of spicy noodles. Kimchi was brought out for both of us. Service was efficient and friendly. Excellent.
If you are expecting real Korean style chicken, you will fully waste every penny you spend on this memu. This is about $30 for full set which you may think is reasonable, but what you get is old dried up wings and thighs to your complete ruin of your expectation. The chicken is very old and tough like rubber.I threw away almost half of it and really I would just spend that much at KFC or something and get over with chicken craving.
Second visit to Susan Korean Cuisine and never disappointed. The full Korean experience of hospitality, tasty food and all the side dish accoutrimands. Staff is very attentive and on point.
Great food, great service - very nice and attentive staff
Real Korean food with reasonable price. I'm Korean and I love this place.
The customer service is always fast, lovely ambience, very friendly employees. Will return again when I am here.
Great Korean food and BBQ, great lunch special, great service,
Very good!
Food is five stars, price is four stars... a bit on the higher side of things, but I guess considering its location is normal. Lunch menu costs about $11 to $13. I will round it up to five stars since the food is what matters :)
Food is great but if you are going in groups and want to split bill, they can not. One credit card only is allowed.
Went here for lunch and had a fully satisfying meal which hit the spot for me. The banchans were flavorful and they offered some unique items that I haven't personally had in other similar restaurants. The main entree I ordered was the Bi Bim Bab which could have easily fed two people! This was a dish that nailed the price to portion ratio! I enjoyed every single bite of this dish and I did not want to let any grain of rice behind. Flavor explosion in each bite. I'll have to come back here again and try a different dish!
They currently have a summer special of cold noodles for 11.99. Service was great but food wasn't as great like many customers have stated. It's simply an average Korean neighborhood restuarant. No pleasant surprises here unfortunately.
I ordered a chicken tofu soup, the meat was not fresh. The service was not friendly.
Pricey but okay food. Would not order froed chicken there again
The food comes out slow. It's inconsistent.
Amazing experience! I recommend anyone wanting to go to Sudam Korean Cuisine to go during the early evening hours on Saturday. It's quiet and bibimbop, of which you can see in the visuals provided, is worth the price.
Pretty good Tofu soup! Pro tip: you can get additional appetizers to go for extra.
Side dishes here are quite good, and refilled very nicely by the staff. If you don't enjoy eating Korean noodles / soups, this might not be the place for you. They don't have single orders of bulgogi at normal prices (cheapest meat dish is 23$), so if you aren't sharing, you'll have to get some sort of noodle / soup, which is made averagely, but overall a bit more expensive than other places you can find nearby in san jose.
Expensive for the quality of the food served. It started with the six side dishes. The eggplant tastes wierd. The mongo sprout tastes bland. The kimchi is not good either. I guess I expected too much since the Menu book looks impressive and expensive, although it lacks photographs to guide non-Korean diners. We ordered T4 and T5 Tofu soups. Definitely pale in comparison with those available at Tofu House which is just a few miles north along El Camino Real. I have been to a number of Korean restaurants in the area but this one made it to my DNV (do-not-visit) again list.
I always order the Naengmyoun (cold noodle) in the summer. They're always on sale in the summer. I wish they put more beef in though. Tonight they only have 6 small plates, unlike some Korean BBQ restaurant which offer more small dishes.
Customer service here is very bad. Came here with a couple of friends because of the review. The table next to us had a issue that the staff did not want to fix, the person didn't even eat his meal just paid and left. After he left the 2 waitress laughed and talked smack about the customer in Korean. Meal was alright, overpriced for the amount you get. We had to keep asking for everything, side dishes, water, Glasses for beer you name it. They would disappear into the back eventho there was only 3 tables with customers. Then as my friend wanted to order another beer, they just gave us the check and walked away without asking us anything. Very rude, I'd suggest driving 10 min more to k-town in Santa Clara as the food, pricing and service is well worth the extra distance.
We have nice vegetarian Busut Soontofu. And it opens till 9:30 pm.
Tasty Korean standards. I had the Bi Bim Bap in the stone bowl.
Oh my gosh. That heaping mound of wonderful, delicious, tender bu gol gi. Incredible. Friendly service. Parking is tight. Will be returning repeatedly.
Very bad service today. We ordered a pan fry fish fillet tonight and found it is very salty. Provided honest feedback to waitress. She said they just bought the raw fillets from market, just fry them and nothing they can do about it. Sounds like they don't care about the foods they serve at all. Very disappointed!
Pretty good korean food - despite not being in Santa Clara korean town area. The spicy pork is tasty and the pancake is pretty good. Plenty of side dishes. It's a good place to visit as alternative to Jang Su Jang or Tobang. Not super crowded, and parking available on the strip mall parking lot.
Good food, nice place, quick service.
Finest spot to get something when in a rush. Their customer service is efficient, pricing is reasonable, excellent atmosphere. Will visit here again
Awesome Korean food. I have been here many times and always leave super full and satisfied
Awesome food. At first I thought the prices were too high, but after seeing the food, I was like, it is a lot of food. I am coming back.
Food here is OK at best. The ban chan (small side dishes) here isn't very good. The gal bi jim is much better at Kunjip. The soon du bu and gal bi we're both OK.
Nice food you can try it
Food was so-so and overpriced. Our family of 4 each order a dish for lunch. However, only I got food poisoning and I was sick for a few days. That was the only meal I ate that day, and I was not able to eat that night. I would not go back.
Solid Korean dishes; I like the dolsot bibimbap. Maybe not as good as some other places in the Bay but good if you're near Mountain View
Decent but I prefer tofu house down the street
The dish looked like well designed. Taste was fine. The environment is quite comfortable. People there were friendly and always with smile. It’s still a good place to meet friends and have a talk, enjoy the time.
The beef tofu stew was not tasty. The soup tasted rather bland and the tofu was not fresh. But their complementary side dishes were very tasty and can be refilled. Their service was good. I will try other dish on the menu next time and avoid tofu stew.
Love this spot. Authentic cuisine. Don't expect any thrills, it's just great simple food.
Felt very bad, the restaurant is close at 9:00pm, we arrived around 8:25, wondering if they would still let us get in or not, but they did. So at 8:50pm, a waitress asked us to pay earlier since the computer needs to be closed as they said , not a problem for me so I paid. Exactly at 9pm, the waitress showed up again to ask us if we wanted to pack our food, apparently our food were even still hot to eat more quickly, 9:07pm they came again to ask us weather we knew the restaurant is close at 9pm, they are waiting for us to finish, I was like if you are not comfortable to wait after 9 , why you let us in at 8:30, why you did allow us to add one more order 10 minutes before your computer shut off, and why didn't you try to push us before I paid the tips! It is the first time we had such bad experience with a restaurant just because eating later than their closing time.
Bit pricey. Ambiance not bad. Had special chicken which was a first time
Save your money and just go elsewhere! My husband and I ordered from them many times because we live pretty close to the restaurant. The service is always bad but this time they forgot half of the items that we ordered. We ordered through Grubhub as they don’t do delivery themselves, after the restaurant made a mistake we called them to inform them that some items are missing but the lady on the phone was rude and not helpful at all, refusing to send the food or refund the missing items saying Grubhub only pays them a little ?!?? How is this my problem as a customer??! After all the surcharges for delivery, and considering we spend a lot of money there on regular basis this is unexpectable! Highly disappointed! Awful experience!
This spot never disappoints. They have fresh dishes for affordable prices, there no long wait even when the spot is packed.
Convenient location to find Korean food without having to drive to Koreatown. Fresh food, superb kimchee, nice ox bone broth. Not cheap, but reasonable. Bright lights, very clean, and quick service. Kimchee side dishes are fine, not standout. It would be nice to have a couple different more side dishes minus the mayo. Fried dumplings felt a bit like a dessert. Cold buckwheat noodle soup with side vinegar and mustard requires a curious eater to try, but it's a cool refresher in the summer. Two chilis on the menu means very hot, so keep the paper napkin handy to mop up the sweat. Spicy leftovers is extremely good the next day. Noodle dishes are perfect for kids. Avoid the rice drink that has bits of rice paper texture. Open all afternoon. If you don't leave a Korean restaurant feeling bursting full, then don't go back there.
Came back after a good experience the first time but this time things were different. The staff of young girls were rude and dismissive. Forgot tea and didn't want to give me sides when i asked. Who needs that for mediocre Korean food. Take your business to Tofu house down the street
I sometimes come here because it's nearby. But the taste is really weird. I'm Korean and sometimes cook Korean food at home. I wonder how I can cook like this weirdly. The interior is good and spacious. I tried most menu here and didn't like any of them. Service is bad from my point of view as well. And they have no desire to improve. Would really like to find a good Korean one in Mountain View...
First time having Korean cuisine (besides Korean BBQ) and it was a solid seemingly healthy meal.
Amazing authentic Korean cuisine - one of the best Korean food I've ever had. Great service and nice restaurant, definitely recommend!
Some of the best noodles in town.
Not the best Korean food I had but pretty decent.
